The CLS aims to remove uncertainty from property transactions and development projects. CLS achieves this by combining data, legal knowledge and insurance capacity to create products and solutions for the UK and European property markets.
Transactions and development projects are underpinned by due diligence intended to flag legal and technical uncertainties that can jeopardise projects.
Insurance Solutions - CLS Risk Solutions Limited’s insurance solutions combine both contingency and legal indemnity underwriting methods – called ‘Contingent Legal Indemnity / Property Contingency Solutions.’ CLS’s unique strategy involves working in partnership with a panel of carriers, who share their approach to risk management, to underwrite a bespoke range of insurance products relevant to property transactions, ownership and development projects.
Data Solutions - CLS Property Insight Limited utilise bespoke data aggregation and analysis tools to create innovative due diligence assistance products for both residential and commercial property issues.
Trust, Innovation, Expertise.
From our roots in developing market leading, data led search and insurance products to offering individually underwritten, bespoke property development solutions across the UK and European markets, CLS continues to provide innovate solutions for the property market.

CLS strive to be great citizens and responsible to our stakeholders, by being passionate about and acting on issues and concerns that are important to us. Our long-standing values and ethical practices include:
We invest heavily in researching and providing environmentally friendly and conscious products and all of our products have been created to be paperless and can only be bought or sold electronically.
CLS’s paperless vision extends in-house. Our internal paperless focus, sees us use very little paper but only from farmed trees and only where necessary. CLS staff decreased their CO2 output by 38 tonnes each in 2013 and 2014.
CLS recognises the importance of a healthy work/life balance. Our efforts to promote health and wellbeing include frequent deliveries of large fruit baskets and a weekly running club.
Giving back to our community and supporting research and development for many important causes, is of paramount importance to CLS. In our working hours we:
Support services for sick children
Research into treatments and cures for paediatric illnesses, and support services for sick children is of huge concern to us. Every year, the CLS team make a concerted effort to support Demelza, a fantastic charity who provide hospice care to children and young adults, and the Children in Need appeal.
We do this through innovative fundraising efforts such as our incredibly competitive cook-off and fancy dress competitions.
In addition we are proud sponsors of Demelza's annual diary.
Life-saving services
Last year the entire CLS team took part in the Vitality British 10k London Road Race in an effort to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital who are at the forefront for developing new treatments and provide life-saving services.
Information on our major fundraising events can be found on our JustGiving Page and our News Section.

"Jean-Claude and his team are always thinking of new ways to provide innovative solutions to their customers by offering commercial and sophisticated underwriting. They take time to understand the customer's needs (which are often complex) with a view to providing a pragmatic solution that enables the customer to address the risk and get on with their project"

- Mike Scott, Partner, Cripps
"Clients sometimes require creative insurance solutions to deal with risk and we have found that Jean-Claude and his team take a pragmatic but innovative approach to finding solutions that work for clients and which understand the commercial pressures and considerations which dictate a client's requirements. Therefore, when it comes to delivering bespoke insurance solutions and meeting customer's needs, CLS have a reputation in the marketplace that is second to none"

- Nick Lloyd, Partner, NABARRO
"Trowers & Hamlins acts for a wide range of developers, often developing in the inner city. Insurance (particularly for rights to light matters) is critical. Jean-Claude and the CLS team really stand out. Not only do they have a service driven, "can-do" approach, but they are constantly looking to provide new and innovative products. A case in point is their decision in rights to light cases to provide cover allowing insured parties to approach adjoining owners with rights and to negotiate settlements. The CLS team have rightly concluded that approaching the issue directly actually mitigates, rather than increases, legal risk. Crucially, this ground breaking approach unlocks development projects that may otherwise lie stagnant. To my knowledge, CLS were the first to offer this product, with other underwriters now following suit"

- Nicholas Levy, Partner, Trowers & Hamlins
